Welcome to My Personal Page
In October of 2016, I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer, Nothing can prepare one for this kind of news. Although I would not wish cancer on anyone, I am thankful for my journey. I am thankful for the lessons that I learned along the way. During my journey, I learned to slow down and see the blessings that are all around us every single day, but sometime we overlook because we are so busy doing life. I learned to not sweat the small stuff, and to really (I mean really) see people. I learned that there is still way more good in this world than there is bad. I learned that life is short, a precious gift, and we should make the most out of every single day that we are given. I learned to not take things for granted and to appreciate the little things.
The Loran Smith Cancer Center was one of the first places that I visited after my diagnosis. The love and support that I was shown on that day, the tough days along the way, the celebration days when my treatments were finally over, and even still today.... almost three years later, will never be forgotten. They loved me, comforted me, encourged me, celebrated with me. I will be forever gratful for them!
